Which SSD slots are used on pre assembled Ryzen PC with 4090 GPU

I recently purchased a pre built PC. I think it is the Eclipse R90S. Ryzen 9 7900X3D with RTX 4090. ROG STRIX X670E-A motherboard.

I want to add another SSD and all the slots, apart from the top one, M.2_1, are hidden behind the graphics card.

Before I start pulling it apart, can you tell me which slot was most likely to have been used for the SSD that was preinstalled.

Did you buy it direct from PCS or a reseller? If it's from PCS can you post the full specs from the order page? Just copy and paste.

It SHOULD be in the primary slot which is the top one marked 6 in the middle of the picture, that's blocked by the GPU

You should be able to confirm which port it's in in the BIOS, they should be named M2_1 M2_2 etc.

The M2_2 slot is a second PCIe5 slot, if you're getting a latest gen drive, that's where you want to install it. If you're getting a gen 4, then either of the lowest 2 slots would be fine.

Mine was GPU-less when I installed my extra m.2s, but you may have to remove the GPU as it may be too thick to give you access to the screws holding down the heatsink that covers the m.2 slots.

It's the bottom heatsink here in yellow (the red-circled button is the new easy-release for the GPU)...

Thanks everyone for the advice. The top / primary slot appears to be accessible and the other 3 will involve removing GPU to get at some of the screws. Not the end of the world, just haven't built or pulled apart a PC since 486, or maybe early Pentium.
